To that question, there is only one answer: directors and limiters. Directors and limiters define what a spell should and should not do. Directors direct the spell's actions. Limiters instruct the spell on what it should not perform. Directors and limiters are frequently more crucial than any other ingredient in a magic spell.

If you wish to cast a spell of any scale or power, you should create some directors and limiters that will instruct the spell precisely what to accomplish. The majority of people believe that the spell's strength comes from the chant, the candles, or the herbs. While such elements may contain some power, the spell is guided by directors and limiters. The only catch, as she realized after a few months on the job, was that she was employed by a mob family. This is not good.

When this practitioner cast this spell, she had already solved half of the equation. She had compiled a directory of directors. She stated the precise specifications for the project she desired. She specified what she desired the spell to accomplish. She neglected the limiters, the list instructing the spell not to bring occupations that violate the law or result in death or property loss. Limiters for magical spells frequently include the most critical data!

Fortunately, the practitioner was able to craft another spell, this time with full directors and limiters, to not only safely remove her from the mob employment, but also to secure her a new career, this time lawful. Tip: regardless of the type of magic spell you use, if it has any significant power, include directors and limiters in the spell as insurance!
